NID: NetSource OptiTap®
Product Overview
The NetSource Compact NID Box is an outdoor enclosure used at subscriber entry points for drop cable termination and transitions between outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) cabling in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) applications. It mounts to an exterior wall and supports a single fiber termination using a hardened SC/APC (OptiTap®-compatible) interface.
The enclosure includes grommeted cable entry ports that accommodate OptiTap® drops and round cables up to 5 mm outer diameter. The lid may remain partially open during installation or be fully removed.
