Indoor/Outdoor Fiber Enclosures

Category Overview

NetSource indoor–outdoor enclosures are used in broadband access networks to serve as designated points for subscriber demarcation, drop cable management, and transitions between outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) cabling. These enclosures are installed at building entry points, exterior walls, and utility locations in residential, commercial, and multi-dwelling deployments. NetSource offers Network Interface Devices (NIDs), Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) enclosures, and Point-of-Entry (POE) enclosures for fiber-to-the-home (FTTH), fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP), and multi-dwelling unit applications, supporting drop terminations, splicing, and slack storage with available grounding provisions, multiple cable entry options, and internal routing features. NID and MDU enclosures support indoor or outdoor installation, while POE enclosures are limited to indoor use.

It is suitable for indoor or outdoor placement and is used at subscriber entry points for drop cable termination and transitions between outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) cabling. The enclosure includes an internal splice tray with capacity for up to 12 fiber splices and accommodates 12 SC or 24 LC connections for patch-and-splice configurations. It supports splitter installations up to 1×8. Cable entry grommets provide strain relief, and the enclosure includes a lock.
The NetSource HE48NID-01 is a multi-dwelling unit (MDU) enclosure used for fiber terminations in multi-dwelling unit (MDU), fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP), and commercial building applications. It is installed at building entry points and utility locations for subscriber terminations and transitions between outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) cabling. The enclosure includes splice trays with capacity for up to 24 fiber splices and accommodates either 24 SC or 48 LC connections for patch-and-splice configurations. It supports splitter installations up to 1×16 in SC configurations. Cable entry grommets support approved drop and distribution cable types, and it mounts to a wall or pole.
The NetSource HE-02NID-01 is a compact enclosure used for fiber terminations in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) applications. It is suitable for indoor or outdoor placement and is used at subscriber entry points for drop cable termination and transitions between outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) cabling. The enclosure includes an internal splice tray with capacity for up to 12 fiber splices and accommodates 2 SC or 4 LC connections for patch-and-splice configurations. It supports splitter installations up to 1×2. Cable entry grommets provide strain relief, the enclosure mounts to a wall or pole, and the enclosure includes a locking provision.
The NetSource HE-04NID-02 is an outdoor enclosure used at subscriber entry points for drop cable termination and transitions between outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) cabling in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) applications. It supports up to four subscriber terminations and mounts to an exterior wall. The enclosure includes an internal splice tray with capacity for up to six fiber splices and accommodates 4 SC or 8 LC connections for patch-and-splice configurations. It supports splitter installations up to 1×4. The enclosure accommodates approved flat or round cable constructions and provides internal storage for up to 50 feet of cable. It accepts duct entries up to 1 inch, and the lid may remain hinged open or be fully removed.
The NetSource Compact NID Box is an outdoor enclosure used at subscriber entry points for drop cable termination and transitions between outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) cabling in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) applications. It mounts to an exterior wall and supports a single fiber termination using a hardened SC/APC (OptiTap®-compatible) interface. The enclosure includes grommeted cable entry ports that accommodate OptiTap® drops and round cables up to 5 mm outer diameter. The lid may remain partially open during installation or be fully removed.
The NetSource SP-NID01-LGX is an outdoor enclosure used for fiber terminations in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) applications. It is used to transition between service provider feeder fibers and customer distribution fibers and may be mounted on a wall or pole. The enclosure accepts one LGX-footprint adapter panel and accommodates 12 SC or 24 LC connections. It includes an internal splice holder with capacity for up to six fiber splices and provides internal storage for up to 50 feet of fiber. The enclosure accommodates flat drop cables, ROC cables, and round cables from 3 mm to 16.2 mm outer diameter through designated cable entry locations.
NetSource SP-NID01-ONU is an outdoor enclosure used at subscriber entry points for drop cable termination and transitions between service provider feeder fibers and customer distribution fibers in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) applications. It mounts to a wall or pole and is designed to house a Ubiquiti Optical Network Unit (ONU) as part of the network interface. The enclosure accommodates flat drop cables, ROC cables, and round cables from 3 mm to 16.2 mm outer diameter and provides internal storage for up to 50 feet of fiber. It includes designated cable entry locations and internal mounting features for securing the ONU within the enclosure.
The NetSource SP-NID01-SPL is an outdoor enclosure used for single-fiber terminations at subscriber entry points in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) applications. It is used to transition between service provider feeder fibers and customer distribution fibers and may be mounted on a wall or pole. The enclosure accommodates flat drop cables, ROC cables, and round cables from 3 mm to 16.2 mm outer diameter and provides internal storage for up to 50 feet of fiber. It accepts one SC or two LC connections through designated cable entry locations and supports one optical fiber for splice-only configurations.
The NetSource Point of Entry (POE) Slim Enclosure is used for single-fiber terminations inside residential homes, offices, or apartments in fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) and fiber-to-the-premise (FTTP) applications. It is installed inside the building and does not serve as a transition point between outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) cabling. It is typically placed near the service entrance or an interior distribution location to support drop cable termination within customer premises. The enclosure supports one SC connection and provides space for storing and routing fiber inside the unit. It accommodates splice and termination work between feeder and drop cables and includes designated locations for securing approved indoor cable types.
